Ayurveda Date Mint Ginger Chutney

Ayurveda Mint-Date Chutney

 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chopped pitted dates (soaked in 3/4 cup water over night with 1-2 threads saffron if you have them)

  • 1 bunch of mint (leaves only, stems removed)

  • 1-2 tbs chopped ginger (to taste)

  • ½ tsp garam masala (or Mum’s masala)

  • 2 pinches of salt (or black salt if you have it-from Indian grocery store)

  • Juice of 1 lime (optional)

  • 3 pinches cardamom

  • 3 pinches black pepper

 

Directions:

  • Soak the above overnight

  • Blend all in the morning

  • Adjust taste as needed
